Size is approximately 20 by 14 inches with a rectangular base of 15 by 6 inches.  
Interior has two large zippered pockets.  One pocket has a 9 inch zipper opening, the second pocket is laptop size with a 13 and 1/2 in zipper opening and the pocket size is 9 and 1/2 inches deep and 13 and 1/2 inches wide.  My i pad measures 12 by 8 and 1/2 and easily fits into this pocket.  Since the external material is quilted with batting, if provides some Some protection for the device.  Forget the formal briefcase!
